Transnation Title Insurance Company is a subsidiary of LandAmerica Financial Group (NYSE: LFG). LandAmerica is one of the nation's leading providers of real estate transaction services. The name change reflects LandAmerica's umbrella brand identity, which unites all of its corporate-wide business offices.
The company has a rich history dating back to 1910 when Transnation was founded as Transamerica Title Insurance Company. In 1990, Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company acquired the company and Transnation became an instant member of a nationwide network consisting of 4,000 branch, agency and subsidiary offices. Today, as Transnation Title the company continues to provide excellent serves residential and commercial customers in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean.
In the early 1960's Transnation entered the Phoenix market after acquiring Phoenix Title and Trust Company an escrow, title insurance and trust company through a stock-trade agreement.
In January 2004, Dan Robledo was promoted to Senior Vice President, Arizona Operations Manager of LandAmerica Financial Group, Inc. His responsibilities include overseeing all the Arizona divisions including Transnation Title, Lawyers Title of Arizona Inc. and Commonwealth Land Title. Jack Golab leads the Maricopa operations for Transnation Title and members of our executive team manage the different Arizona counties where Transnation has offices.
Today, Transnation employs 500 employees and has 35 offices across the state of Arizona. The company's Arizona headquarters are located in the Viad Corporate Center at 1850 N. Central Avenue in Phoenix. The 38,000 lease represents commercial space for the three LandAmerica affiliates: Transnation Title, Lawyers Title of Arizona Inc., Commonwealth Land Title and houses approximately 150 employees.
